Navigating the KDS Home Screen

Introduction

The eatOS Kitchen Display System (KDS) is designed to simplify and streamline restaurant operations. Understanding the layout of the home screen is essential for new users to utilize the system's full potential. Here's a comprehensive overview of the KDS Home Screen to help you get started.

Upon logging into the eatOS KDS, you will be greeted by the Home Screen. This central hub provides access to various functionalities and settings. Let's break down the different sections and their purposes.

Main Display Area

If there are no pending orders, a receipt icon with the message "No Orders Right Now" will appear at the center of the screen

Left Navigation Panel

You will find a vertical navigation panel on the left side of the home screen. Each icon represents a different function:

It takes you to the Home Screen, displaying the current orders in the central area.

View the history of past orders, which can help track completed transactions and recall previous orders.

This section displays alert notifications, helping you stay updated on critical information and any urgent issues that might need immediate attention.
