The 2024 International Franchise Expo (IFE) enjoyed gorgeous weather in New York City last week, welcoming thousands of attendees to the iconic Javits Center. Over 300 franchise exhibitors showcased a diverse range of industries, from automotive and beauty to technology and food. Attendees were eager to discover new brands, network with industry professionals, and learn from educational sessions.

On the show floor, the On the Hook food truck concept stood out.  President Ocean Andrew, son of an Alaskan fisherman, emphasized the brand's focus on family-friendly work hours and community-based operations. Colette Bell, founder of Ace Handyman, highlighted the importance of customer service in driving their success as the top handyman franchise in the country.


Franchise Vendors and Suppliers Offer Key Support

The expo also featured numerous vendors and suppliers crucial to franchise success. Sebastian Aguirre of NiceJob shared how his company has helped hundreds of franchises with online reputation management. The franchise law firm Spadea Lignana showcased their cloud-based system for simplifying Franchise Disclosure Document updates.


Educational Sessions Empower Aspiring Franchisees

IFE 2024 offered over 70 workshops and sessions. The "Women in Franchising: Being Successful in Today’s Marketplace" panel featured accomplished women sharing insights on teamwork, mentorship, and the importance of diversity in business. Steve Beagelman of SMB Franchise Advisors presented "Should You Franchise Your Business?", guiding potential franchisors through key considerations like control, communication, and capital requirements.


Culinary Delights and Industry Trends

Attendees enjoyed a plethora of food samples, with chicken being a dominant theme among exhibitors. Beyond specific franchises, the expo highlighted trends like sustainability, technology integration in services, and the growing wellness industry.

IFE served as a vital hub for networking and collaboration. Attendees connected with fellow entrepreneurs, industry experts, and franchisors, fostering potential partnerships and investments.
